It was time for us to reinvent the wheel, and we hopped onto the calligraphy trend and designed the Ohuhu 48 Colors Alcohol Art Markers, Brush & Chisel Tip. The classic chisel tip allowed you to make beautiful, broad strokes, and the brush tip brought your lettering to life.

Let’s be real – our marker names are quite a mouthful to spell out. So we decided to create a family name for them. We named them after the tropical Hawaii. Introducing – Oahu for our Bullet & Chisel Tips, and Honolulu for our Brush & Chisel Tips.

At a time where diversity was the only thing worth discussing, we heard your voices for the need for more inclusive skin tone colours. So we developed Version 1.0 of Ohuhu Skin Tone Markers, Honolulu Serries.

Our 48-color pastel-color markers was also inspired by our community, who asked us for a perfect pairing to their paddle-pop drawings. So we worked hard with our colorists to ensure the light-colored pigments were perfect - that they were vibrant and blended beautifully.

Our brand Ohuhu was inspired by the scenic Hawaiian island, Oahu - a place where nature painted the landscape in beautiful shades of blue and green, and where everyone could enjoy it.

It was there that the idea for Ohuhu was born. Our founder wanted everyone to be able to express themselves easily and creatively the moment inspiration struck them through the simple but mighty marker.

Today, Ohuhu may be a homage to the beautiful scenes of Oahu, but what keeps our brand going is you - our community. Ohuhu strives to empower everyone to paint up your inspiration, regardless of budget. And we hope to do so for the years to come.

Giving inspiration back to the community.

We believe that all artists should be celebrated. Inspired by their boundless imagination and never-ending creativity, we’ve donated to the Turning Pointe Autism Foundation, a non-for-profit organization that empowers both children and adults alike with autism to live their best life. By donating quality art supplies to their students, we hope that the tools inspire them to express their creativity, find joy in art and to paint up inspiration.

As we continue to look out for opportunities to give back, consider giving back to your community as well. A little bit goes a long way.
