Ohuhu vs Caliart?

My daughter really was excited to get Ohuhu markers and saved up money, then bought Caliart by mistake.  When they arrived she didn't like them because they bled through the sketchbook page and the smell made her feel sick.  We returned them but now I'm concerned that the Ohuhu's will cause her the same problems.  Are the Ohuhu markers different?

THanks

Hi Judy, Ohuhu markers have a very slight smell. You won't even notice about it unless you put the tips close to your nose. Also, the alcohol-based ink dries instantly and blends seamlessly. There is no need to worry about blotchy, uneven coloring and smudge. In regards to bleeding, it is suggested to draw with thicker paper when you use markers to do coloring. In fact, effect speaks louder than words. Why not give Ohuhu markers a try? 😉😉😉

I've personally have never used Caliart markers, but in my opinion, Ohuhus don't have a strong stench. There is a slight chemically smell, but its barely noticeable, and definently not enough to make you feel sick. Also you might want to check the paper you are using. Any alcohol markers can bleed through very thin paper if you don't put something under it. If the sketch book paper is very thin and not meant for markers, the paper will "bubble up" and the markers will bleed through. I recommend using thick card stock, bristol, or professional marker paper. But card stock and other types of thick, smooth paper would be a cheaper alternitive.
