Shipping to UK post-Brexit

Hi, I am so pleased to see the pastel markers are available for the UK now if I buy them direct from Ohuhu.com. However, I wonder where there are actually shipped from, because if it's outside of the UK we are now liable to pay import duty plus handling fees and that can make the goods rather expensive. I got caught out buying some markers from Etsy recently, so am wary of making the same mistake again. Thanks.

Have you been given the same 'options' I have? 

Apparently the pastel markers are out of stock now so I would have to wait till February or I can get a full refund. I don't understand why they cannot send me the parcel they have had returned. I feel like I'm not getting the full story. On top of that that are blaming brexit but the thing is GLS are prepared for brexit and knew what was coming. I don't have to like brexit but they claimed to be fully prepared for what was coming so I feel like I'm getting an excuse rather than the actual reason. :/

    Yes, I have been told that too. I did question why a parcel I'd purchased was no longer mine, that does seem odd. However, I really want the markers so I've opted to wait till the new stock comes in and trust Ohuhu to fulfill the order this time. I did read the info on the GLS site about Brexit and it says that if the customs paperwork wasn't correct and in line with the new changes, parcels would not be able to be processed. So I'm going to give Ohuhu the benefit of the doubt on this occasion and hope its now all sorted for future deliveries.

    I'm afraid I struggle to give the same benefit of the doubt I find it extremely concerning that I'm not the only one. I've asked them to explain why they cannot send me the parcel they had returned less than a week ago. Paperwork wouldn't prevent them from sending it out again so I feel like I'm being fobbed off with a convenient excuse. I've ordered ohuhu through Amazon before so I never had an issue but this is quite silly.

This happened to me today too, no explanation just delivered back to sender. I've sent an email to them as well. Have you heard anything since posting this?

    Hi Jessica, I'm sorry to hear this has happened to you too. Yes, I've heard from Ohuhu. They said they've forwarded my details to their warehouse department and would get this sorted ASAP. I haven't heard anything more as yet. I also contacted GLS, the courier company, and they haven't replied at all. I do hope we still get our markers!

    As do I! I was so excited when they came back into stock. I'm a little concerned at the lack of openness or communication about what's been going on with my package to be honest. I haven't had an email back yet even though I sent one early yesterday morning. Do they respond on weekends do you know?

    They answered my question they do respond on the weekend I got an email about 5 minutes ago with roughly the same response you told me. Fingers crossed this gets sorted very soon.

Update! So, I ordered the markers and when I received the dispatch note and tracking details I found out they are coming from Germany. I realised I'd probably have to pay import tax, but wanted the markers so much I just had to accept it. Anyway, I've been tracking the parcel and today it says that the courier, GLS, has returned it to sender! Has this happened to anyone else? I've emailed Ohuhu to find out what happens next. It feels like I'm never going to get these markers 😭
