• "copics" for beginners

I love these markers, the blending is amazing and the brush nibs are pretty decent quality. The markers are juicy and seem like they would hold up over a period of time and use. There are some minor cons, such as color selection which is the main reason I gave these markers 4 stars out of 5. I feel like Ohuhu should really include more neutral colors and skin tones to give more of a variety, some of the colors that they included are just a slightly darker or lighter shade of a color, example green. I feel Ohuhu will solve this problem later on as they expand their brush marker collection. Other than that, I truly love these markers and highly recommend.

I like them very much. They blend beautifully. The only thing they should add is refills or even sell individual markers. But I love them.

I really love these Markers, I’m fairly new to alcohol markers and learning how to use these is so fun. I have gotten such clear color from them and the brush nib gets into those hard to reach places. Blending is so smooth. Will definitely buy again!
  • great markers! okay carrying case.

    pros:

-brilliant color! i love how vibrant these markers are!
    -the barrel shape is perfect
-the caps! oh my gosh the caps can go one on top of the other, unlike copic sketch markers!
-round, but nice little nibs to keep them from rolling off if you keep the cap on one end on
-came with a neat little shield sheet; i've never had one before :D
-the brush nibs are firm without being like crayola markers, but flexible like copics; makes for easy line making

    cons:

-the bag is just a canvas bag, so it can be difficult to organize by color without others getting in the way
-no reffills :(. i NEED refills at some point! i love these markers way too much for me not to be able to use these for as long as possible

overall, i absolutely love these markers! my only complaint outside of the cons list would be that R11 seems more like it belongs in the P category, but that's so minor it's not really a con.

really hoping ohuhu expands the color options available and adds refills at some point, plus replaceable nibs. i want to use these markers for as long as i can!
  • Perfect for beginners - Great brush nib markers, limited color palette

These are some of the best budget brush tip markers I have used! Only reason it loses 1 star is because this set really lacks many skintones. You can see on my color swatch that I added in some from my Ohuhu bullet nib set to round it out. The colors in general are a bit oversaturated, also. HOWEVER, the brush nibs seem very durable so far, the ink blends beautifully and the price is absolutely unbelievable. I look forward to larger sets with more lighter colors, though in general, even Ohuhu’s lightest colors are pretty saturated, so that’s something to be aware of! If you’re just starting out I would get this set and the skintone set from Art-N-Fly, Copic or Windsor & Newton and you’ll be good for a while!
  • Love the markers!

The markers work really well and I really love this brand I just wish some of the colors weren't so similar so there was more variety in the pack. I also wish there were more lighter tones included so there could be more build up of color. I love the size and roundness of the markers and the fact that they have names for the colors and can put the cap lid on the other side when coloring. But when it's all said and done they are a great addition to my 120 set from ohuhu and I can't wait for more colors!
  • Almost Perfect... But Colors Are Not Light Enough!
Jade S. Reviewed in the United States on
I really wanted to give these a 5-star rating, but there’s just ONE thing holding me back from that. The range of colors is much darker than I expected/hoped for. Ohuhu specifically said they were listening to customer wishes and including lighter colors, but there are NO truly light colors in this set. They are all mid-tones and darker. Even the ones that look very pale on their swatch sheet are much darker than they appear on the swatch sheet and caps.

Aside from that, I LOVE these markers. They feel great in the hand, the ink colors are vibrant and smooth, and the brush tip is a dream come true! Seriously, I like the brush tip better than Copic because it’s a little more firm, giving more control over the line width so I can stay within fine lines easier. Five stars for the brush tip! Big bonus: the caps actually fit on the other side! SOOOO many marker companies neglect this. Of course, when you try to remove the cap it often pulls the OTHER cap off, which is inconvenient, but hey, you can’t have everything.

Overall, I like these markers better than Copic. Not joking. I’d still buy these at near Copic prices, because I just like them better! But ONLY if they came out with some truly pale colors that compare to the 0000 and 00 ranges of Copic markers. Until then, sadly I have to keep buying Copic markers because they fit my art style better.
  • Great value for high-quality product!

I love these markers, and I've only just swatched out the colors (on Strathmore 60lb. Mixed Media paper). While the brush tip for the amazing price was the major reason I purchased these, I do wish that there were more pastel colors; hence the 4 star rating, but I think that Ohuhu might just take this into account and manufacture some lighter colors. In the first image, I've swatched all 48 markers, and outlined half of each square with a Sakura Micron pen. In the second image, I compared the Ohuhu PB8 with a Copic Ciao that I already owned--they're incredibly similar.

These markers are absolutely stunning. The ink flows well, the brush tip feels nice, and THE CAPS FIT ON THE ENDS!! One downside of these markers are the lack of color. I do understand that it is a new product, so I hope in the future they come out with more. Also, the packaging is not the best. ): The card that comes with it is bent (the one used to protect surfaces from the ink), and my first package came ripped. )): So please come out with more muted tones/ pastels/ skin colors!! Thank you!!
