I am just getting back into drawing again. I heard about Copic markers a year or so ago and knew they were very expensive. Once I started researching alcohol ink markers a few weeks ago, I quickly became overwhelmed with all the choices (online, anyway). I went to a few stores to see the Copic markers in person, and while they were really nice, I couldn't part with $6 a marker, esp since I wasn't sure how much coloring I'd be doing. I ended up settling on this brand after reading and watching some reviews online (Kasey Golden). For the price, they seemed to be an excellent alternative to Copic. And for someone like me, I doubted I'd know the difference.
These markers work out to be .83 cents each. There are non-brush tip ones that are even cheaper.
I LOVE using them. They are so vibrant! I haven't done a ton with blending yet, but what I have tried seems to be OK. The variety of colors you get is amazing. I did a swatch sheet, as I'd heard (correctly) the cap colors are not true indicators of marker color.
The carrying case is a nice touch, too.
So far, I'm blown away. I heard customer service for Ohuhu is good, too, so that makes me happy.
In only the first few days, I've done a fair amount of coloring and the markers have performed flawlessly.
