Did anyone else watch Jazza's video to find out what's the best alternative marker to Copics?
As much as I love Copic's amazing blend ability and smoothness with drawing, I really wanted a whole set without having to pay $300+ for only 72 alcohol based markers! So I researched and saw a few tests and I can confirm that when it comes to the brilliance of color and the similarities in smoothness to Copic markers, these Ohuhu Markers are the best pick!
What I did want to note is that, when blending these markers together with another, you will NOT get it as easily as a Copic but there are enough colors so perfectly close in color that you can achieve that blend. Another thing I wanted to note (which others may not care for) But when I was using the Ohuhu markers to get a solid color, the second I overlapped you could see a color difference... Do I mean streaks? Not exactly but in comparison to the Copic markers, If I were to go over a spot two or three times, once dried the color is the same. With the Ohuhu I noticed that the color got darker and it stayed. Almost like the opacity darkened once I went over. The comparison to Touch markers as well, these Ohuhu ones definitely surpasses them too on blend ability and smoothness.
Overall, I think this is a worthy advisory for a Copic dupe and $100 for 120 is a perfect steal!
