It really works!
I found it very good on the big monsters growing in my yard. Did it do 100% of the work and pick up the trash? No. But it worked very well on helping me to weed the mess I had with a lot less time spent bending or kneeling. The trick is finding the center of the plant, and sometimes I had to lean it over and pry the thing out. But it worked and didn't fall apart. Looks like it will last too. Especially considering how inexpensive it is, it is well worth it and a handy addition to my gardening equipment.

Lightweight and very easy to use
In the past, itt was difficult work to keep pulling up all the weeds, but once my wonderful husband put down a ton of grass seed to fill in some big gaps in our lawn and the wind spread a lot of that seed into my garden beds, it was just way too much work to continually pull out all the grass that kept popping up. So, I did what most people do - run to Amazon for a solution. I decided on this item as it it seemed to be the perfect solution and it turned out to be even better than I expected!
I was surprised at how lightweight it is! I was afraid that it might be flimsy being so lightweight but I was wrong. It's so easy to use. All I need to do is place it over whatever plant I don't want, step lightly on the foot pedal to push it fully into the ground, twist the handle at the top and pull up. It brings it all up, the plant and the root. Then I just easily press the plunger on the top and it disposes of the unwanted plant. I will say that my soil is a combination of raised bed and garden soil so I'm sure it's also the soil itself that makes it so easy to use but I haven't tried it on any other types of soil to say for absolute surety.
Since I have had so much grass popping up in my beds, I eventually got tired of pulling each one up individually even with it being so easy. So, I grabbed a chair and wondered if it would work just as well if I was sitting and to my surprised delight - IT DID! The tool is even long enough that I was able to reach it over the edge of the bed and properly eject the plants, roots and all, on the other side where grass is welcome to grow.
I think this is one of the best purchases I've made on Amazon so far.

The customer service was outstanding
The tool was very easy to use but not very sturdy I broke the first one right away the plastic rod which pushed down the weed grabbing tool snapped into! I called and requested another one with I received very guickly. This one works beautifully, I'm sure that the first one had a weakness you could not see. Would buy again
