I am sure these will work great and I am going to put this down to user error. There are brushes like these made with pain in them. Which is what my daughter thought she put on her Christmas list. These are not filled with paint. You fill them with water and add paint to them. We both looked at the pictures included with the item and thought they were filled with paint. I even read the description and still did not realize my error. We have since purchased paint for them and next time she comes home from college, we will remember to pack the brushes so she can try them out. My only defense is that Christmas is hectic and I just did not read thoroughly enough.
does the job
These pens are OUTSTANDING. I started using them and have no idea where my regular brushes are , nor do I care. Amazing quality, easy to use! Sheds occasionally but it's not a big problem, may once every 15 uses? Very good for the price! I'm impressed.
I got the three pack of these before and I love those. But when I opened this package, the brush tips were wet. And they smelled really bad of rubbing alcohol.
Interesting set of pens. Still working on the best way for me to use them. I love the broad brushes and the small pointed ones stay tight. A good set at a good price. I paint wood and the water reservoir helps to keep the brushes moist as the wood absorbs the paint. That was a surprising bonus.
It's a little difficult to press the back to get the water, but otherwise, they're great. It took me some time to get used to, but I'm happy with the purchase. The cap for the largest brush squishes the bristles, so the cap should be bigger. I didn't notice a difference in the quality of the painting in general, though.
These little pens are awesome. They do leak, but very minimally, not enought to cause a problem. Just have to have a paper towl handy to soak up any excess water. But that is all a part of the creative process. The bristles are sturdy, have not had any fallout, they clean very easily and they do not stray when dried. Pretty content with this purchase.
Pretty satisfied with this purchase. Of course these are not for professional artists, for that I suggest maybe some brushes that don’t come in a pack for around 8 dollars, but definitely worth the money for beginners or hobbyists. They fit perfectly in my pencilcase and I use them all the time.
Great price with a variety of brush sizes. Micheal's didn't carry a water brush set with different brush sizes.
