These brushes are good, the only problem I have is with the thickest/widest brush as it seems to have problems carrying pigment over. It's either me or the brush that is having problems as I don't water color often, but the other brushes are fine!
These are a breeze to use - funner & more effective than I thought they'd be. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because I would like to have a bigger variety of tips (i.e., a Rigger, Liner, Round, Chizzled, etc.).
• Brush tip spreads water evenly & easily
• Water doesn't flow out too fast
• No need for frequent refills/stays full long time
• Quickly cleans colors off tip w/ a few squeezes
• VERY convenient for travel/outdoor painting!
• Best used with Water Color Pencils
• Brush tips could be more precise but still good
• Caps fall off easily when placed on back of pen
• Harder to control with Water Color Pan Paints - (I prefer a regular paintbrush for that)
• Could use a bigger variety of tips (thinner/finer to styles listed above). A greater variety of tips would be very conducive to creativity & convenience of transport.
All in all, a good buy for your money - # of brushes for the price. I'd recommend. :)
The waterbrushes work as well as any other set that I have tried.
Very good brushes! Came on time. Very easy to use and clean. No malfunctions. It's definitely worth getting all 6.
im still learning how to use them, its a bit hard to control the water flow though. i'll usually use them to apply some water in very specific areas or apply paint i want especially diluted and then go in with a regular brush.
Good if you wanna try waterbrushes out, but they feel and look cheap. Spend another 4 bucks for a better brand
These are fun and gives me another tool in the box!
These seemed very cool at first, yet I used the medium pointed tip pen and it began to leak all over the page. They're okay for the price but if you wanted a reliable tool then this isn't it.
Ehh not super impressed so far with these. The have a good size reservoir which I do like. But I'm not crazy about the tips. The flow on some are more than others. I need to play with these a little more and see if there is a trick to them. They would be okay for a beginner wanting to start out with a water brush and see how they like it. It comes well package and they have their own plastic sleeve which i like so i can keep them all together. I will update my review after I have played with them longer.
Update 05-08-2017: The flat heads bristles splay really badly and the water that comes out just really pours out of them with just the slightest pressure . This is not user error. I have had many waterbrushes so this ain't my first rodeo. I am not over filling them, I even tried putting half the water the reservoir can hold and I'm still getting excessive water in the flat heads. The round ones are much much better no issues with those. But the control is not there for the flats and the Bristles are just terrible. For the price if only half of them are effective its not as good a deal which is a bummer as I generally really like Ohuhu's products.
Update 05-18-2017: I'm going to give 4 stars I would honestly give 3.5 stars if that was an option. The company apparently has excellent customer service. They actually bothered to read my review and offered to send me another set. None of these leak which is great. I'm still not a super fan of the flats. They are better than the last ones i received. Even though one of the flats kind of came a little misshapen, with a little water I was able to reshape it okay. I still like the round ones better than the flats. I just feel like I have more control over them than the flats. It maybe the way the water comes out of the flats. It seems to come out of the edges of the bristles in bigger drops. I just don't have as much control as the rounds. They all hold a good amount of paint and I think for the price if you are on a budget you can make these work. You just will have to work with them some. I did a real quick water color using caran dache neo's and water color pencils. I also included an example of whatkind of strokes you can get.
