Very strong gel packs that will last. Very easy to handle, fits nicely into the velcro wrap which is perfect for a shoulder, arm or leg.
Great idea to put it inside a cover with a strap. I had one of the ice packs already, but they are hard to keep in place and also very cold when placed directly on the skin. I had been wrapping them in a towel. This was much easier to use when I dropped a heavy box of tile on top of my foot. I just strapped it on and was still able to walk around. It stays cold for a while and recharges quickly. I have not needed the hot yet, but I am sure it will be the same.
These ice packs are perfect for use on my knees. They get very cold and the coldness lasts for about 30 minutes; just the right amount of time for medical purposes. You do need to be careful and use a towel or cloth underneath to prevent ice burn (frost bite). The stretchy straps hold the ice pack in place. I lay the ice on top of my knee, cris-cross the straps behind my knee, wrap them around the front and velcro in place. They hold the ice in place very well. (BTW, my knee is about 18" around.) There are 3 sections that allow the ice pack to wrap perfectly around the knee. The material is a sturdy plastic/vinyl. There is some sweating as the ice pack "melts". I can see where these would also work great on my lower back. The straps are long enough to wrap around my waist to hold the ice in place on my back. I am so glad I purchased these. They come in a set of 2, which is also handy. I store them in the freezer when not in use. It can also be used as a heating device by placing it in the microwave, however I have not used it that way so I cannot comment on that aspect.
My English Pointer had TPLO surgery, equivalent to humans having ACL surgery. The surgeon reccomemded icing. These packs were great. O bought two so I always had one ready, but one case comes with two ice packs. I did put a thin dish towel between the pack and my dogs leg. I was able to velcro the pack to her woth no problem. She was sedated, so not moving, but it was secure if she did move a little. Im sure I will get much ise out of these.
Great ice packs to have in the freezer. They are flexible and have velcro straps. They will stay ice cold for almost an hour. They will easily wrap around the torso so back, ribs, chest are all quickly treated.
Bought this for my daughter to give to her friend as a birthday gift. We inflated it and tied a big bow on it and it was ADORABLE! Also, it made a great backdrop when the girls all took photos! Really cute!!
Larger than expected. Stays cold for at least 2-3 hours. Great product. I’m buying another set.
I've been using the packs mainly to help with muscle painI.Surprisingly good! They seem like they'd also be great for inflammation.I planning on buying a bigger set.
These are great for icing your knees.
You want a square ice pack for flatter body parts.
